Hello? Anybody there? This is Dy checking in after days of MIA. I've been very busy with work and apartment hunting that I didn't have time to organize my thoughts until today. Remember my Oh Well post early this year regarding missing "The People's Party" music festival with The Naked and Famous, Bombay Bicycle Club and Metronomy? It's happening again and it sucks BIGTIME.
Mid 2012 I learned that TWO DOOR CINEMA CLUB of awesomeness is coming again to Singapore for their Beacon tour and I'm so excited that I really waited for the tickets to go on sale and when it did I didn't know why Jim and I put off buying our tickets. (What happened Jim? What. Happened.) So yes the tickets are already sold out and (again) I'll miss this great show. I really hate myself right now. Really. Jim is sad too because he was so ready to sing/dance to Undercover Martyn. Hehe! We even considered following them to their next destination but we figured it'll be easier (and cheaper) to settle on Youtube VS. going to Ireland. Oh life!
SILVER LINING TIME! And I know I have to acknowledge that this is what they call "everything happens for a reason" type of events when I realized that our annual company dinner is scheduled on the same night of the concert. Ha! Even if we had the tickets, I can't still go and just ditch my work for TDCC but I think I can and I will? #crossroadsinlife
Moral lesson of the story 1: BUY TICKETS EARLY. NO NEED TO PUT OFF BUYING WITH THE THINKING THAT THERE'S ALWAYS MORE FOR YOU. Buy tickets at once!
Moral lesson of the story 2: Unfortunately, you will miss the concert but be thankful that you have a legit excuse. You wouldn't want to miss your chance to win $$$ vouchers and free dinner with your colleagues right? Riiiiiight? Note: Repeat this until you believe it.
